Diamond Airborne Sensing GmbH was founded in 2006, as a 100 percent subsidiary of Diamond Aircraft Industries. The subsidiary was assigned the task of conceptualizing the Multi-Purpose Platform (MPP) aircraft according to the demands of service providers. These special mission aircraft are finally designed and manufactured by Diamond Aircraft Industries.

The company’s main business is supplying aircraft for use as multi-purpose sensor carriers and to market these worldwide. It not only offers the MPP alone, but also complete systems including the sensor equipment in turn-key solutions.

The company’s secondary business is a major part of the success of Diamond Airborne Sensing’s main business, namely the carrying out of services for the most common sensor applications using its demonstrator aircraft fleet.
