Delivery of Diamond DA42 TAE for Civil Aviation University of China

The CAUC (Civil Aviation University of China) took over the next two planes of the 50 aircraft deal, signed in July 2008 with Diamond Aircraft Austria and Diamond Shandong Bin Ao.

The Pilots Othmar Nentwich and Clemens Svatos ferried the both DA42 TAE from Wiener Neustadt, Austria to Tianjin, China following this route:
Wiener Neustadt, Austria – Kiev, Ukraine – Voronezh, Russia – Ufa, Russia - Omsk, Russia – Krasnojarsk, Sibiria – Irkutsk, Sibiria – Ulaanbatar, Mongolia – Tianjin, China.

The pilots flew the DA42s over a distance of 7889 km (4260 nm) within impressive 31 hours flight time.

The CAUC is using the Diamond aircraft primarily for commercial pilot training and is the fifth school in China to choose Diamond for their flight training programs.
