DA50 Magnum (Future Project)
The search for the ultimate single engine cruise aircraft has come to an end, as Diamond Aircraft presents a new class of piston aircraft - the DA50 Magnum. No other product on the market is comparable to this spacious, luxurious 4-seater aircraft that was developed for the discerning pilot. Long distance cruising without payload restrictions is best performed by the DA50 Magnum. The aircraft is powered by a 170 HP turbo engine, which in combination with the aerodynamic quality of the aircraft leads to an outstanding flight performance. Together with the most modern and luxurious G1000 cockpit, the DA50 Magnum represents the summit in the class of single-engine piston aircraft. In this category, the aircraft is the logical step for anyone who has always sought a combination of spaciousness and luxury.
Spacious Comfort
The cabin, with a width of over 130 cm (50 inches) is the most generous in its class, surrounded by broad panoramic windows, offering the greatest possible comfort and optimum view to you and your passengers. The easy to use air conditioning makes flying even on the hottest days a real pleasure. The right hand control stick can easily be removed, affording the co-pilot even greater comfort.

The cockpit with two Garmin G1000 system displays (one PFD and a separate MFD) will even impress pilots of turbine powered aircraft. Optional equipment includes the fully digital autopilot system GFC 700, as well as the latest traffic warning and weather systems and digital approach and en route charts. The FADEC controlled single lever operation of the engine is another tool, that reduces the pilot workload.
Safety that only a Diamond Aircraft can provide
Diamond Aircraft is proud of its favourable accident statistics – the best in the industry. Every detail of the DA50 reflects 26 years of experience in building aircraft using composite technology. The sophisticated safety concept is what sets Diamond’s aircraft apart. It includes a protected fuel system, a fail safe and damage tolerant framework, an airbag supported safety belt system for the passengers and a cockpit structure capable of withstanding up to 26 G. The docile flight characteristics and high performance of the DA50 is representative of what Diamond does best: Manufacturing of safe, economical and efficient aircraft. As an aircraft designed for operation at great altitudes, the DA50 includes an integrated oxygen system and an optional TKS de-icing system. Just like its bigger cousin, the D-Jet, the DA50 offers an optional parachute system. With immediate effect, you and your passengers have the highest form of safety available – a wide spectrum of active and passive safety elements, leading to ultimate satisfaction.
